ABOUT

Los Angeles–based multidisciplinary fine artist creating work across painting, sculpture, public art, and digital media.

John Hanrahan is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and creative practitioner whose work bridges fine art, public installation, and experimental design. His practice combines traditional artistic methods with contemporary approaches to materials, storytelling, and visual expression. Working across painting, sculpture, and large-scale public projects, Hanrahan creates work that transforms everyday objects and environments into unexpected experiences.

Raised between the New York City Metropolitan area, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles, Hanrahan draws deeply from urban environments, influencial artists, architecture, and human experience. His sculptural, painted, and digital works explore identity, perception, movement, and modernity, translating emotional and societal themes into immersive visual form.

Approaching each project as both artist and builder, he develops work from concept through execution. His projects span public art installations, murals, sculpture, interactive environments, and digital platforms, each grounded in storytelling, spatial awareness, and technical precision.

Through Hanrahan Creative, he continues to explore the intersection of art, technology, and space, producing work that challenges conventions and expands the role of contemporary art in public and cultural environments.
